JOINTS

Bones join together at joints.

Two types of joints:

  • Fixed joints: the bones do not move (the skull).
  • Moveable joints: the bones move in one direction (the knee or the elbow). These joints are held together by ligaments.

Our bones are hard and they help us move:
skull, humerus, ribs, femur, spine, pelvis, vertebrae.

Joints are two bones joined together.
They help us bend and move different parts of our body:
neck, hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow, wrist.
